    2. So glad that there will be a ZF6! I am simply not ready to say goodbye to the characters in these books.. well, the ones who have made it so far, at least. I read about 5 or 6 other zombie books while waiting for ZF5 to come out and while some were pretty good, not one of them had characters or a story line I cared about or enjoyed half as much. In some cases, I just wanted the people to get eaten already. Like the book where the hero was a half wit jock who wears, god help me, a white Titlest baseball cap. Most of the dialog consisted of stuff like "Duhh yea I think we better get out of here, man." and "Duuh yea I think you're right, duders, we should probably hurry!" over and over. Won't be reading any more of that series. You are a true talent in my eyes. Also, we discussed a while back a very small mistake in your books that you weren't giving up. I did figure it out and I promise I love the books so much it really didn't "bug" me at all. I've written about 5 comments on this site so far, and I hope I'm not getting annoying. As i've mentioned before, it is a rare and delightful treat to talk to the actual author of stories I enjoy so much and I can't help but to take advantage. I promise you won't find me hiding in your closet one night wearing your underwear on my head or anything like that ...yet.

  2. Just got the first one, and it's on my must-read list. Congrats on the numbers.

Just a question- do you think the market is becoming oversaturated with zombie stories, or do you think there's always room for more? Granted, not all of the zombie stories out there are good.

    1. smober,
Thank you for taking the time to write! I hope you enjoy the series. I think there is always room for more if they are original and don't follow the same ole same ole.

  3. Hi Mark first off I just wanna say congrats!!! I said before your ZF series was way better than the show The Walking Dead and almost every zombie movie or book I've ever seen or read, and I'm pretty sure I've seen them all. I couldn't wait to purchase ZF5 even stayed up well after midnight to see if it was available yet.(fell asleep and got it first thing in the morn lol)...But any way I just finished it and I am completely confused, so pleeeease tell me your gonna have a ZF6. ZF1-4 left me completely satisfied and wanting more but this one just left me kinda disappointed(but still wanting more). You are extremely talented and I never had an author draw me in the way you have. Well I'm not sure if you had any plans on doing anymore or anytime soon but I'm dying to know what happens next, because right now I can't even bring myself to read anything else but I think I'm gonna purchase Indian Hill. :)

    1. Thanks for writing Anonymous. The paperback should be out in about 72 hours or so, on Amazon or my website if you want a signed copy.

    2. You can read Kindle books on any of the phones. Your choice iPhone, Android, Windows Mobile - Kindle apps are available from relative stores for free. And you can even get a Kindle app on your PC or iBook - so just pick your favourite device, get the app, buy the book and read. I've read all four and a bit of ZF books on my HTC HD7 phone.

  6. Just finished zf5 and my only complaint is that it was too short! I still love the series as much as ever and I'm dreading the end. I guess i can only hope you'll find some other crazy alternate reality for Mike once ZF and IH are done. BTW--cadbury eggs as a palatable delivery system? Effin genius!

  7. Couldnt wait for ZF5 and i woofed it down like BT on a Porterhouse, growling at anyone that dared interrupt me! I am avid reader of zombie fiction and yours is the finest Mr Tuco. I loved almost every word of ZF5, and I cried out Nooooooo at one particularly devastating part, so suddenly that my teenagers ran in with WTF looks on their faces. (I actually got the creeps feeding my 2 cats today, and found myself giving them suspicious glances throughout the day!) I came looking for any scraps of info on another installment of this series and sighed a big ThankGod when I saw mention of ZF6 - please say it is so? I'll read Indian Hill (already bought 1&2) once I know there's at least a chance of learning some more of Talbot's fate in the near future! Here's hoping our Hero survives and maybe Deneaux gets hers! ( I actually hate her more than Eliza, who is kind of amusing although evil...) Thank you fir giving me such excellent characters and stories to think about when I need to escape my own troubles for a few hours! Vic from VicsPics

  9. Yikes - My apologies for the typos prev post - that's the last time I'll type those on my NOOK! (takes forever one letter at a time too!) But I couldn't wait to say my thanks & kudos! Can't wait for the new releases and I'll tell my book groupies same. Keep up the great work Mr. Tufo! Vic

  10. I've read a lot of comments mentioning how short ZF5 was, but I didn't find it any shorter than the others. I also foun the book to be equally enjoyable as the first 4, and I think that some people have gotten upset by the deaths of some of the main characters, but it's a freakin zombie apocalypse, you can't expect everyone to survive!

My only critique, would be the editing in this one...things seemed all out of place and there was a lot more punctuation errors that made it a little confusing to read...could that have to do with your failure to mention Monique in your dedications?
